CHARITIES

Apart from The Five Parishes Charity many other organisations benefit from the annual Countess of Warwick Show. Each year, this Show supports various local charities and community groups, helping them to raise funds to continue their valuable work and make a positive impact in our community.

We are proud to assist these important causes and thank you for your support in making this possible.

If you would like to support the Show please do get in touch.

CentrE Algarve

Holiday Centre for people with special needs.

Set in the beautiful Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and just 2 minutes from the pretty local village of Moncarapacho, The Centre Algarve is mainland Europe’s only specialist holiday Centre which is fully equipped to allow people with special needs young and old to experience a wonderful holiday with their family or carers.

We have created an environment where everybody feels comfortable, safe and secure within our wonderful grounds that are fully enclosed and gated. A magical and unique holiday centre where fun and memories are created.

The Centre has 14 bedrooms keeping the experience intimate and not too overwhelming as with most large complexes. Whether you are relaxing by the pool or enjoying yourself within our private secure facilities, you will always be able to keep a watchful eye even whilst you relax and unwind in the evening with a glass of wine.

Young Farmers

We are Dunmow Young Farmers! The Dunmow club is part of the much larger Essex County
Federation of young Farmers Club or as some of you may know as ‘Essex Young Farmers’.

We are a youth organisation made up of members aged between 16-28yrs, despite the name you do not have to be a farmer to join, just someone who appreciates the countryside and enjoys rural life.

All Essex Young Farmer clubs are ran by its members for its members so everyone has a chance to have their say. We are one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK dedicated to young people who have a love for agriculture and rural life. Our clubs provide their members with a unique opportunity to develop skills, work with their local communities, charity work, travel abroad, take part in a varied competitions programme, and enjoy a dynamic social life.

Dunmow Young Farmers have run the bar marquee here at the Countess of Warwick show for many years, something all our members past and present have enjoyed. Whilst enjoying all the show has to offer, please come in say hi and have a drink! We would be thrilled to see you.

If you would like more information on Dunmow Young farmers or the Federation of Young Farmers Clubs please ask someone behind the bar or go on to our website www.essexyoungfarmers.com

We hope you enjoy the show!

Danaher Animal Home

Danaher is an independent registered animal rescue charity based in Wethersfield, Essex.

Each year we rehome hundreds of lost, abandoned or ill-treated dogs, cats, and small animals, none of which would be possible without the public’s support. We encourage everyone to help an animal find a new loving home by adopting one today.

Whilst affiliated with the RSPCA, we are an entirely self-funding charity which could not exist without our generous supporters and volunteers, whom we cannot thank enough.

The Gardens of Easton Lodge

Our purpose and activities

The Trust exists to preserve, conserve and protect the historic gardens of Easton Lodge and their biodiversity, for the enjoyment of the public, by: maintaining the gardens’ ambience; protecting and renovating the gardens’ historic structures; and enabling access and providing educational opportunities for the public. The Trust aims in doing so to operate effectively and in line with best practice for small organisations, so that it can devote its resources to restoration and the improvement of the Gardens.

The Countess of Warwick Show is important to us because it carries the legacy of our most famous owner, Daisy. It helps our charity to raise public awareness of the ongoing efforts of our volunteers to preserve the gardens of the Countess and the opportunity to convey to the Show attendees the Garden’s history.

Cancer Research Campaign

The Harlow branch of Cancer Research Campaign have been attending the Countess of Warwick show for many years. We are a very small committee, currently with just 5 members. Despite this, we do a range of funds raising activities, ranging from quiz nights, to monthly stalls at the makers Market, held in Harlow. I am currently chairman of the Harlow committee. I joined the committee 34 years ago, when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He had a course of chemotherapy, which was successful and he is now also on the committee. We are always looking for new members to join the committee or for anyone who can support us at our various functions.

We are looking forward to Having a stall at the C.O.W. show again this year. Fingers crossed for some warm weather and sunshine!

Dunmow & District Royal British Legion

Established in 1921 we are proud to be one of the oldest branches in the country. Our branch meets regularly at the Saracens Head Hotel, and our district covers Great Dunmow and eight surrounding villages. Everyone is welcome to join us, whether you have a connection to the Armed Forces or not.  The Royal British Legion is the country’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 180,000 members, 110,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; helping us give support to the Armed Forces community wherever and whenever it’s needed.

Many people know about The Poppy Appeal, as it is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign. However, did you know that to provide the vital support that is needed for serving and ex-serving personnel and their families, the fundraising continues all year round.  Attending local events like The Countess of Warwick Show helps us to continue supporting those in need. This year we will be attending the show with our stall, and as well as having poppy items available, we will have a tombola and raffle. So please pop by to say hello and help us to continue providing lifelong support.

If you would like to become a Member, or one of our Poppy Collectors, please contact us, and we would be happy to welcome you.
